Starters Guide to iOS:
Higher Quality pictures are essential if the resolution isn't high enough it will destroy the appearance of the piece. Pixels are how many little cubical pieces per inch/measurement are in your work. If it is not fine enough it will look very sloppy when enlarged. The precise clarity in an app makes or breaks it.
[Do you have a glossary on pixels, picas & points? I want to shoot whoever came up with the similarity in terms.]
Points can include more pixels. Sometimes 4 per point.
Is a storyboard a sketched out chart?
Layout is very simple in standards. How people will interpret your work/postings by hierarchy or priority. Size & clarity with the ease of navigation make viewers happy.
Size & positioning can make or break a presentation.
I love the program of Adobe InDesign to easily make a site accomodate the turn of the screen, gracefully adapting to portrait or landscape & the size of screen.
Colors, figures & how they can attain complimentary clarity & alignment can be handled with ease on Adobe Illustrator. It is best to make things larger & shrink them to retain clarity.
Icons have to be clear & tini.
As with anything, testing it out [often!] is best for any project & program.
I have found PNG best in everything I have been saving.
Save the buttons in appropriate dimensions & sizes for each use.

I used it as a reference when working on the project it is best to put simple logical clarity - obvious guides in words.
